As of end October 2023, according to UNCHR website, there are some 600 Palestinian refugees and asylum-seekers registered with UNHCR in Malaysia. The state of Palestinian refugees in Malaysia is quite difficult and exasperating. Because of their refugee status, they are not permitted to work and provide for themselves, which is, of course, what any family wants to be able to do. Instead, they are perpetually in need of financial support, and almost not allowed by law to achieve self-reliance and stability.

Inspired by how the Ansars of Madinah went out of their ways in helping the Muhajirins who escaped years of oppression and prosecution in Makkah, Ansar Li Muhajirin (Helpers for the Migrants) platform offers the same opportunity for anyone out there to help these Palestinian refugees in Malaysia who are trying to seek a better future for their children.
